Hello! I'm not even going to mention how bad I am at being a blogger. But I did think you might like a little update. The picture above is of the town of Ruschlikon. Ruschlikon is the town we will live in when we move.
YES! That means we've picked an apartment! We just signed a lease on an apartment in Ruschlikon, on the west side of the lake, about 15 mins from Zurich city. You can read about the town here. I don't yet have pictures of the apartment to share with you, but I will post them as soon as we move in. The building is brand-spankin'-new. We actually saw this building when we visited Zurich in January. They were still laying flooring and putting up wall sconces when we were there. The apartment is 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living/dining/kitchen area, and a patio. Swiss law dictates that the builder must install a playground in the yard behind the building, so of course the kids are thrilled about that. The parking is in a garage beneath the building. Can I tell you how excited I am for that? Parking and going up to the apartment with groceries and kids and not having to run through the rain or snow? Heaven. Now I need a cute little cart to get the groceries up the elevator.
Tobi is working on getting our plane tickets, but it looks like we will be leaving around April 6-7. I cannot believe it's only 3 weeks away!
